Atlanta Mental Health Services
Our Kennesaw mental health treatment programs include access to several types of highly effective types of therapy. We provide each person we meet with an initial assessment so they have a proper diagnosis. From there, we can create a menu of therapy sessions that will work best to minimize their symptoms. The types of therapy we offer include:
How long each type of therapy will take place depends on the severity of the person’s mental illness and how they respond to treatment. Many of these therapy modalities are available on all of our levels of outpatient treatment.
A 2022 report on the state of mental health in Georgia turned up some important statistics highlighting the struggles of residents of the Peach State. In February 2021, 44.3% of Georgia adults said they felt symptoms of depression or anxiety. Sadly, almost 30% of them were unable to get the therapy they needed to address these symptoms. Additionally, the COVID pandemic took its toll on the mental health of people across the country, and Georgia is no exception. Calls increased by more than 1000% to a federal emergency hotline for people in emotional distress. Georgia’s own Peer2Peer Warm Line experienced a 20% increase in new callers.
Other startling statistics include:
These facts make it important for people to be aware of the Kennesaw mental health program.

Someone looking for a quality program to treat illnesses such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more can find it with our Kennesaw mental health treatment plans. We offer several outpatient programs that provide the focused care you need without having to move into a facility and disrupt your life. We provide the following levels of outpatient treatment:
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Therapy sessions take place three to five hours per day over three to four days per week for a total of nine to twenty hours each week.
Virtual IOP: The same plan as regular IOP but the sessions can be attended from the individual’s home or another private location where they have internet access.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Therapy sessions take place five or more days per week for several hours each day. This is the highest level of outpatient treatment for mental health disorders.
Teen Treatment Program: A program created especially to meet the needs of teenagers with mental illnesses.
We understand that it can be scary to ask for help improving one’s mental health. For this reason, we take care to help each person ease into their treatment program. All of our therapy sessions take place in a comfortable, private setting. Our therapists are trained to help people open up and discuss their emotions, behaviors, and experiences. This helps them resolve past issues and learn to develop healthy coping skills for current day events.
Some mental health disorders are curable, and we aim to help people reach the stage of overcoming those. Still others cannot be cured, but their symptoms can be greatly reduced. In these cases, we make it a goal to help each person reach the highest level of good mental health possible.
